FCMA showcases Fujairah Photography Award at Global Media Congress

Fujairah Culture & Media Authority (FCMA) took part in the third edition of Global Media Congress (GMC) 2024, held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court. FCMA booth was featured within Fujairah Government Pavilion, and spotlighted the Fujairah International Photography Award.

“GMC offers a valuable platform to stay abreast of the latest developments in digital media and its emerging trends, while also supporting the development of Fujairah’s local media, enabling it to progress in step with the world’s rapid advancements,” said H.E. Nasser Muhammed Al Yamahi, Executive Director of FCMA.

“We delivered an extensive presentation on Fujairah Photography Award (FPA), which serves as both a local and international award, with international entities and figures participating in GMC. FPA was warmly received by visitors to FCMA booth,” added Al Yamahi.

FCMA team members provided visitors with an in-depth overview of FPA, covering its objectives, mission and vision, along with its themes (encompassing primary, local and global themes). They elaborated on FPA’s conditions, procedures for submitting entries locally and globally, technical standards, and value of the financial prizes designated for winners by FCMA. Additionally, they highlighted the key specialized workshops that will be hosted by FCMA on the sidelines of FPA and offered guidance on electronically navigating FPA’s website.

Notably, FCMA launched Fujairah International Photography Award on October 8, 2024, with a submission deadline set for September 16, 2025, for all themes. The winners will be revealed at a ceremony held in October 2025.
