Cultural and Artistic Cooperation Between Fujairah and “Photopia Cairo” to empower Talent in the Field of Photography

The Fujairah Culture and Media Authority (FCMA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation with “Photopia Cairo” for Photography, on the sidelines of the activities of Cairo International Book Fair 57th edition – 2026.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of the FCMA by His Excellency Nasser Hamid Al Yamahi, the Executive Director of FCMA, while it was signed on behalf of “Photopia Cairo” by Marwa Mamdouh Hussein Aboulila, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

During the signing of the agreement, Marwa Aboulila reviewed the winning photographs from the seventh edition of the Fujairah Photography Award and expressed her admiration for the high artistic standard and creativity embodied in the winning works, emphasizing the importance of supporting and developing the culture of photography in the region.

The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation in the fields of photographic practice and specialized training, as well as to support and develop creative talents, in line with the objectives of the award organized annually by FCMA.

This agreement comes within the framework of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority’s keenness to expand its cultural and artistic partnerships regionally, exchange expertise, and implement training programs and workshops that contribute to developing photographers’ skills and elevating the quality of artistic production.

Photopia Cairo is a specialized platform and school in photographic practice and visual arts, dedicated to training and empowering amateur and professional photographers. It contributes to creating a creative environment through specialized training courses, exhibitions, and lectures. It is also the organizing entity of the “Cairo Photo Week” event, which brings together local, regional, and international photographers and enhances creative dialogue and exchange of expertise in the field of photography.
